What a buzz!

The Head Spa

A cloudy Sunday turned into a wet one, ruining my plans to ride my motorcycle with the “Old-Fart Riding Club. (OFRC)” You see, its a twice a month ritual to meet a bunch of guys that are my father’s age and ride our American big twin bikes. What I love about the OFRC is their ability to ride until the tanks are empty or until their bladders are full before they stop. With these guys, it’s all about the ride…not about looking cool, so we wind up putting on a lot of miles when we hit the road.

When I get home from a long OFRC ride, I have this tingling sensation in my hands and my head from the vibration of the big v-twin motor at highway speeds and the texture of the road. I’ve learned to love that sensation–it reminds me of a good ride and good times with the old farts. But I wasn’t going to have the buzz this Sunday. Damn rain. Then, I got this crazy idea… I remembered I have this Head Spa Massager I got from Gadget Universe. I thought that this might do the trick for the tingling sesation I was longing for. I went over to my bedroom closet and pulled it down. Fortunately, I remembered to plug it in to the wall to charge it. (You see… its cordless, so you are free to go about your day while using it). I plopped Head Spa Massager on my head and sat down and watched AMA Superbike on Speed Channel. After a while, it felt like I was there, feeling the buzz of the motorcycle in my bones, but what was really happening, was I was getting a very relaxing scalp and neck massage.

I was rather caught up in the moment but over an hour into it, the charge was running a bit low, so I took it off and set it up to recharge in my closet. The cool thing, is the tingle was there, just like when I ride. I was ear to ear smiles for the rest of the night. Thanks to Gadget Universe and the Head Spa Massager I had the best virtual ride of my life.

  1. [...] The great thing about the Eyesseuse Mind Spa is that is actually cuts the tension from around my eyes, blocks out the light, so I can focus on the sensation and not distractions like the TV or my wife bending over to pick up something–its just me and my eyes. It uses batteries, so you don’t need to be near an outlet. I set the timer and just chill out. It has three settings: air pressure, heat and vibration. I prefer a little heat with pressure, the vibration was a bit buzzy and I have gadget for that. [...]
