Gadgets in the Snow
Since I was a young boy, I have had a fetish for spy-tech. I remember watching James Bond movies when I was a kid, dreaming of getting my paws on some of the amazing gadgets 007 had at his disposal. So, as an adult with some disposable income, I cannot say no to the sometime useless and sometimes tempting spy toys now available.
Last week, I was up in Bear Valley, CA staying in a cabin–in the snow. My wife, of course, takes this little vacation as a way to get away from it all, but the first thing I that came to my mind was how can I use all these little gadgets I have in my bag in this new, isolated environment. I admit, it would be strange to just pull out all the cool stuff I got from Gadget Universe and start plotting all the ways I be the nerdiest person in the Mountain town, so I kept it quiet that I brought a bunch of gadgets on my “retreat” from society in my backpack. I, instead, opted to wait for the perfect opportunity.
Lucky for me, the opportunity presented itself on the first day. My wife and I were standing on the cabin’s deck, taking in the scenery. My wife happened to mention that she wish she had binoculars to look far out into the mountains, covered in snow. “Ask and you shall receive,” I replied. I promptly pulled out my brand new Spion Digital Binocular Camera I got from Gadget Universe. This thing was slick: its 8x magnification and 5 mega pixel digital camera was more than she wished for and allowed us to capture the cool views and take them home to share.
I like to think she thought I was the coolest man on the planet. When we got home, I took out the SD memory card and loaded the images on my computer and promptly printed some beautiful shots I took on my Spion Digital Binocular Camera. Thanks to Gadget Universe, I now can keep some amazing views with me forever.
