You know who else liked the listening device? Warren G
Last week I posted about Christine Lakin reading my mind with the Orbitor Listening Device. You can find this thing at places like Gadget Universe, Brands on Sale, Skymall, and about 5 million other websites. Such do a Google search for parabolic listening device. While she was the only one who tried to read my mind with it (I’m worried about that she found out!), she was not the only one who loved the device.
Rapper and producer Warren G had to have one. In fact, he was really impressed with the array of gadgets and innovations I showed him at the GBK Oscar Charity Gift Event. From the iPlatform, to watches that don’t need a battery and never need to be wound, Mr. G (can I call him that?) couldn’t get enough of the gadgets! He grabbed an MP4 watch (yep, like a video iPod for your wrist), an automatic watch, a wireless microphone digital voice recorder, and the orbitor listening device.
I’ll write more about the other products when I start getting caught up on everything else. I’m a week behind on just about everything. I digress.
You may have seen stuff like the orbitor on the sides of football fields. Those are much larger parabolic listening devices that give us those wonderful sounds of people getting their heads popped off by the free safety when they cut across the middle of the field. This one is a little different. It is a device you can use in your home.
It works! I bought one for my dad a couple of Christmases ago (is Christmases even a word?) I live on a quiet street. I pointed it at my neighbor’s house… it was a little disturbing for me. I could hear her walking across the floor in her kitchen. Talk about stalker material! I put the thing away right then, but could you imagine if Jimmy Stewart had one in the 1954 classic “Rear Window“? Or even worse! If Bart Simpson had one in “Bart of Darkness“. BTW, I got to meet the creators of The Simpsons last Friday! Very cool experience. Read about it on my WordPress blog -Fin

[...] I had the Home Theater Watch at the 2007 GBK Oscar show. Like I mentioned in previous blogs, Billy Wirth, Shawn Hatosy, Joel Moore, and Warren G all loved the Home Theater Watch. It wasn’t a huge hit for the female celebrities, but there were plenty of women taking a look at the watch. [...]

Those things are pretty cool. I used to have something a little less sophisticated. The whisper 2000. I had so much fun with that thing. I wore it out from useage.
