James Bond Digital Binocular Camera

Well I finally saw Casino Royal, the new James Bond movie the other day. If you haven’t seen it yet don’t wait any longer, watch it today. Once you see the movie you will no doubt have a strong urge to get some cool gadgets for your next MI6 mission. Step one is to set up a few sentry guns to protect the perimeter. Next you need a way to do some covert surveillance.

For your undercover surveillance needs just head over to the Gadget Universe and have a look at their binocular selection. My favorite is the one I had a chance to review, the 5.0 Mega Pixel LCD Digital Binocular Camera! There are some devices that feel very cool when you whip them out, this is definitely one of those products. It takes 4 AAA batteries and like most digital cameras it uses them quite quickly. If you are going to take lots of pictures with it look into getting some NiMH batteries. The back opens and has a SD card slot and a mini USB connection. Under the device there is a screw hole that will accept a tripod mount, this would be very useful if you were going to use it in a fixed location for long periods of time.

The unit comes with a carrying case that has a belt loop, strap, USB cable and a lens cleaning cloth. The outside lenses are for the binocular eye pieces and the center portion is the lens for the digital camera. The lenses are easy to clean with the cloth and the carrying case will keep the dust off the unit when it is not in use.
