Spy Gear–Great Family Fun: The Military Zoom Binoculars

I can’t seem to resist spy gear. When I see a new gadget that could possibly come in handy if I was asked to save the country from an evil plot to blow up the moon, I just have to get it. I have quite the collection these days. From the Orbitor Electronic Listen Device to the really tiny digital recorders and cameras, I thought I had it all. But there was something I didn’t have, something that would top all my spy gadgets…a set of military spec binoculars. Imagine, being able to see a zit on a fly’s butt from massive distances. Ah… that would be cool.Well, I happened to come across such an item at Gadget Universe, the Military Zoom Binoculars with (get this) 140X zoom! No one could hide with those in my clutches. I must have them… must have them now!

Of course, I am not secret agent, I never had to take on Dr. Evil or Goldfinger, but I sure as heck can take these to the beach and pretend I am looking for whales, while trying to get a good peek at the hottie a mile down the beach. So, there are lots of good reasons to have a set of military binoculars, right?

Well, I now have a set and can’t seem to stop bringing them with me everywhere I go. The other day, I took the wife and kids to the beach in Malibu, California. It was a cold, foggy day, but there was lots to see and the Military Zoom Binoculars from Gadget Universe sure came in handy. My daughter noticed a huge ship way off in the distance, miles away near the horizon. I helped her get the Military Zoom Binoculars focused on the ship and she was able to see people on the deck to which the naked eye would be completely blind. The neat thing about having the Military Zoom Binoculars with me at the beach was that it gave me and my daughter something to do together, something to talk about. She and I went on for hours, finding objects to observe, far off in the distance. People fishing on a rock a mile away and dolphins swimming the in the surf are just some of the things we looked at just because I had the Military Zoom Binoculars at the beach with me. When we got home that evening, the moon was out and my daughter and I tried them out and guess what, we were amazed how clear we could see the craters and details. Wow.

These binoculars are large, they have a huge set of lenses, but the wide strap, light weight construction and the spectacular views from 500 yards away made up for it. The Military Zoom Binoculars made for great family fun. I guess the spy thing will likely always be a fantasy and I am too self conscious to really use them for voyeuristic activities, but it’s comforting knowing that I have the tools in my possession for such things.

  1. Yeah, there are alot of cool spy gadgets out there. My personal favorites are the listening ones. Where you put them in your ear and they’re similar to hearing aids, but you can hear clear across a mall. I love those. I’m nosey. Lol.
