Go Fly a Kite…Gadget Universe Style
The last person to tell me to go fly a kite was Jared from GP headquarters—I said don’t get me worked up because I just gased up the Hummer (there goes dinner for a few nights) and besides, they call me the “Assistant Govinator in these parts!”
Jared said, “Calm down,” and insisted I take the new GU Radio Controlled Air Kite (item TT 496) for a spin in the open skies. When I heard it had 14 bright LED’s and you can fly it at night—that sealed the deal for me.
This is the real deal folks (BTW, the box is huge just like me)! It has got to be one of the most unique R/C Flyers available. The crazy red shape and powerful large engine propeller is fast, durable, and hilarious fun! One thing I learned Sunday afternoon playing around with the Air Kite: “Gravity…It’s Not Just a Good Idea. It’s the Law”. Yup, I crashed about 7 times until I got the hang of it (no pilot error jokes or I will hurt you). I was so sad because I did crack it up in the KUSI parking lot after the segment aired. We had trouble getting it started because another R/C plane used the same frequency we demoed right before it…and we left it on. Seriously, the Air Kite is a real blast that is definitely air-worthy! Hmm—that gets me thinking. If a stealth bomber crashes in a forest, will it make a sound?
If you have never flown an R/C vehicle the GU Air Kite is a great way to get your feet wet. The style, color, and bright LED lights will make you the envy of the park people!

I have recently purchased an RC kite and I think it has real potential to be great fun but I have been unable to fly it yet!Whenever I put the power on the controller to anywhere above around 50% the power on the kite cuts out and the battery completely discharges. Does this happen to you or can you offer any advice on why this is?
Thanks.
