It’s Officially Fall, But the Spring is Back in My Step!

In my line of work, you cover a lot of news and new products at tradeshows. But more than that, you cover a lot a convention floor space over very long hours on your feet!

While all the chairs are in the food court, the rest areas are—not surprisingly—devoid of new gadgets, gizmos and newsmakers, so if you want to see what’s really going on at these shows, you’re on your feet…all day…everyday. And at the end of each day, your feet remind you just how long the day really was!

It was at one of the busier shows recently that I first saw the Gravity Defyer Shoes. Upon returning home, I picked up a black, patent leather pair (the slick Marseille model pictured) from Gadget Universe and just had my first chance to wear them at a show. The truth is they picked me up! Not only are they lighter than your average dress shoes, the spring action in the heel gives great support and takes the pain out of the long hours of standing on a tradeshow floor. I think I even stand an inch or two taller with them on.

As a frequent shopper at Gadget Universe, especially for the fitness items, all I can say now is I’m now anxiously awaiting a running shoe model of the Gravity Defyer!
